Road Wattle: to those not in our industry, hearing these words together is simultaneously confusing and maybe slightly humorous. It might even sound like a Looney Tunes character that was a victim of the Road Runner or Wylie Coyote if you don’t know what it is! No matter what association you make when you first hear those words together, make when you hear the term road wattle, nearly everyone underestimates its importance and the ways the encounter it on a regular basis.

In essence, think of it as a giant sock, that is stuffed with compost material that blocks areas off from potential sediment buildup.
